An air ambulance landed in the playing field of a nearby primary school and doctors and a paramedic performed surgery in the street in a 30 minute battle to save him before he was pronounced dead at around 2.30pm yesterday.
Grief-stricken family members arrived at the scene minutes before his body was taken away by an ambulance at 9.30pm.
Screams could be heard by his mother and father as they went to see him, while other relatives collapsed in the street wailing and sobbing.
A music promoter was chased down by a gang of men and stabbed to death in a terrifying murder in broad daylight.
When the ambulance drove away, his mother cried out “my son, my boy, they stabbed my boy”, as her family supported her on either side and walked her home.
Ben’s uncle, Samuel, today said the family, with whom he lived just around the corner, were devastated.

“He was a very respectful boy. I’m so shocked, I wouldn’t have expected this ever. He was only 25.
“Whether they find the people who did it or not he is never going to come back. For his parents who have been around and supported him for 25 years it is devastating. His mum is in bits.”
His younger brother wrote on Twitter: “Life is short. Never even got a chance to say I love you to my brother. This really is a lesson that we need to keep our family at heart.”
Residents described how Mr Feshina, who also has a younger sister, had been chased into an alleyway and stabbed by the gang who then scattered in different directions .
Neighbour Ted Knott told the News Shopper: “Five of them were chasing three other boys. One had a knife about eight or six inches big and a hacksaw.”
Mr Knott said the incident may have been sparked over a £400 debt.

One witness said: “He was with his friends and they started having an argument with five other boys. They ran off and he was left crawling and screaming for help.”
A woman, who did not want to be named, said: “I heard the screams and I saw a group of men running off. I ran to the man who was stabbed and he was lying there and just bleeding and bleeding.”
She watched as paramedics carried out emergency surgery on him for more than half an hour.
A friend who grew up with Mr Feshina said: “He was close mates with everyone. He was one of the best guys around here. He cared for everybody. He was really friendly.
“We just want to know who did this and why they did it. There are lots of wars down here between different estates. We get used to all the fighting. But Trigger was one of the nicest blokes around here. He isn’t one of the ones you know are involved in trouble.”

Four areas of Thamesmead estate were taped off by police while forensics combed the scene for evidence.
No arrests have been made yet and detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have launched a murder investigation.
Friends laid flowers at the scene with cards paying tribute to him.
One friend wrote: “Trigger my man, love you boy and wishes from us all. We miss you and always in our thoughts.”
Another wrote: “Rest in peace, it wasn’t our time.”
Twitter was flooded with tributes.
His friend Idahosa Osagie, who he worked with on music production company Ride or Die Entertainment, wrote: “This life. May we live it to the fullest. RIP Triggz.”
Scotland Yard has appealed for witnesses to contact police by dialling 101.
